Anti Idle is a small standalone application that prevents you from being disconnected from your Internet Service Provider due to inactivity. To do this, the program uses an algorithm to get a request from a webpage checking the bandwidth and calculating the bandwidth average. You just need to introduce the Webpage's address, set the expect data in kilobytes, and the period of time (in seconds) in which the program will check the website again.
The program doesn't require installation, after downloading the file you just need to unzip it and you run it. It will then add an icon on the system tray from where you can tell your computer to load the program on Startup, but also you will be able to open its GUI, pause the monitoring, start the application minimized, auto disconnect, or open the About window.
You can only specify one website, which is a disadvantage in case the specified website goes down.
The program has an option to auto disconnect the modem after certain number of minutes but it only deactivates the monitoring.

PROS:
- compatible with all Windows versions (including Windows
- the option for auto disconnect after the time you specify
- its simple interface
- humble on system resources
- no need to install
- the option to run at startup
CONS:
- the webpage already kept in the software isn't optimized for this purpose.
- you have to change the settings to "expect data 1 kb within last 1 seconds" for best experience.
- the software is not supported anymore and the developer has gone missing.
